Welcome Message of the President of the Greek Federation of Customs Brokers to the Members of the IFCBA
Dear Colleagues and Friends,
We are already in 2012. A year of major developments in the Global financial events, adjustments in the Customs Services and the respective organization and adaptation of all Customs Brokers of the Planet.
However for us, as Members of IFCBA, (the sole and sovereign World Organization of Customs Brokers), 2012 will also be an important year, since in next May we will hold our World Congress, here in Athens, the capital of Greece.
During this event we will discuss on all the important issues related to our Professional Field and we will conclude in appropriate decisions, outlining the strategy of IFCBA for the next critical years.
The President of our World Federation, Jaime King, the Secretariat of IFCBA, led by the tireless Carol West, and the Managing Directors, are working very carefully and thoroughly so as to work out the best conclusions following the four-day procedure (08-09-10 &11/05 / 2012).
During this period of time, the incoming messages deriving from all over, are demonstrating that the role of Customs Broker - Customs Representative, will be upgraded to the benefit of the World Trade, the Industry, the Ecology and national Economies around the World. The making good use of our Professional Presence imposes to all of us Responsibility, high Vocational Training and Knowledge and Solvency for our intervention in the movement of goods. This is what, especially during the upcoming Electronic Era, enhances the Prestige of our Profession and makes us an integral and useful Tool so for our customers as for Customs Administrations.
I strongly believe that the above mentioned should consist our key Strategic Objective as well as the Target of the upcoming World Congress.
Meanwhile, the Greek Federation of Customs Brokers organizes and prepares carefully and in time all the events connected with the carrying out of the IFCBA World Conference.
In this context, we consider that the creation and operation of this site, from now on and until the ending of our Conference, will be of a great help.
This site will be constantly accessible by everyone, for everything related to the promotion, development and expression of opinions.
The Management of OETE and all Greek Customs Brokers are looking forward to welcome and honour you in Greece.
